Most Likely Contenders For The 2023 NBA Playoffs

With the 2022-2023 NBA season underway, there is much conjecture as to which team will make the playoffs and, ultimately, win the finals. New players have emerged recently and have shown their skill which gives good odds of their team making the finals. Several groups have a good chance; this list will speculate on which team has the best odds of winning the ultimate prize. This is one of the seasons where it is a tightly matched competition, and even the most minor mistakes can vastly change the outcome of who will be victorious. So, in no particular order, here are the teams with the best chance of winning the Playoffs this year.

1. Milwaukee Bucks

With top-class players such as Giannis Antetokounmpo heading the team, it is hard not to see how the Bucks aren’t a sure-fire team that can bring home the trophy. Their legacy so far has proven that they have what it takes to win, but it comes down to the teamwork required that can drive them home. Hopefully, Bucks fans will come out to support them as they did for their 2021 victory against the Phoenix Suns. But, unfortunately, the Bucks are currently 2nd on the NBA ladder for the 2022-2023 season, and there should be no doubt that they can’t convincingly win the finals again.

2. Denver Nuggets

If you are betting on the NBA playoffs, then the Denver Nuggets are an excellent option. The team has had great success over its 55 years, beginning with the AB in 1967 as the Denver Rockets before becoming the Denver Nuggets in 1974 and becoming part of the NBA in 1976. Legendary players such as Dikembe Mutombo and Carmelo Anthony have worn the Nuggets jersey with pride and have kept the team in contention throughout the year. The most recent champion player is Nikola Jokić, who first graced the court in 2015 and has been a cornerstone of the team ever since. He won the MVP award in 2021 and again in 2022, and at 211 centimeters (6’11’’) and only 27 years of age, he has the skill, height, and stamina to continue to lead the team to victory.

3. L.A. Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers are yet to win a championship, but this could be the season since they have had such a strong run in recent years only to be beaten out of the finals by stronger teams such as Utah Jazz and the Phoenix Suns. However, this does not mean they are out of contention and means that they are even more adamant about securing a championship victory for the first time in their 52-year history.

4. Golden State Warriors

MVP Stephen Curry led the Golden State Warriors to victory over the Boston Celtics in the 2021-2022 season, and it is easy to see why this team can win again. This team has shown time and time again that they are a talented team, and 2023 shouldn’t be any reason to prove otherwise. The group began in 1946 as the Philadelphia Warriors and became the Gold State Warriors in 1971 when they moved their operations to San Francisco, California. They have won 7 championships in their time, and current players like Stephen Curry, Andrew Wiggins, and Jordan Poole have what it takes to lead the team to yet another win for the Warriors.
