Rustler Jeans Review

These classic regular fit jeans are constructed of 11.5 oz cotton for exceptional abrasion resistance and color retention, providing great value.

These 100% cotton jeans are an ideal solution for dads who wear out jeans quickly. Sitting comfortably at their natural waist, these pair boast double stitched outseams with bartacked stress points for added comfort.

Fabric

This pair of jeans features tough fabric that will withstand wear and tear while remaining comfortable and breathable, making them perfect for working outdoors during hotter summer days. Seams have been double stitched at stress points to reduce breakage; heavy duty zippers ensure frequent usage without risk.

Rustler jeans did not perform as well in our durability tests as some of the other models we examined, but they still fared quite well. They held up well during both our puncture test (not failing until 18.2 pounds of pressure was applied) and abrasion test; however, their fabric began fraying after four swipes with 180-grit sandpaper while pairs from Duluth Double Flex and Best Made performed much longer in these two areas.

Keep in mind when considering this brand that it is owned by VF Corporation, which also owns other leading workwear brands like Dickies and Timberland as well as merino wool brands such as Smartwool and Icebreaker.

Fit

Rustler jeans feature a regular fit that sits comfortably at the natural waist. Featuring double stitched outseam with bartacked stress points for added durability, Rustler jeans also come in extended men’s sizing so you can find your ideal pair.

Rustler Jeans are part of Kontoor Brands, a spinoff from VF Corporation that also owns Wrangler and Lee jeans. Known for producing durable denim clothing with exceptional durability, you can trust Rustler jeans to deliver exceptional quality denim jeans.

Rustler Classic Regular 5 Pocket jeans were an outstanding performer in our fabric abrasion tests, standing up well against repeated sandpaper rubs. Unfortunately, however, the jeans failed in seam and zipper tests; Duluth Double Flex jeans performed best while Ariat Rebar M4 and Kirkland jeans tied for last place in this category.

Style

Rustler Classic Regular Fit Jeans offer great style and value, available in multiple sizes with double stitched stress points that stand up well during our durability tests, withstanding multiple swipes of 180 grit sandpaper without showing much wear at the hem and knee area.

These jeans were able to withstand the abrasiveness of sandpaper without suffering wear-and-tear damage, yet failed in our flexibility test. Their fit proved too restrictive during squatting movements and may prove uncomfortable if working in this position for extended periods.

Kontoor Brands, which produces these jeans, is a spin-off from VF Corporation (parent company of Lee and Rock & Republic) dedicated to denim apparel production. Additionally, VF also owns several outdoor brands like Smartwool. While Kontoor Brands’ headquarters are in Tennessee, production takes place predominantly in Mexico and China.

Value

Rustler Regular Fit Jeans offer excellent value for the money with their midrange price point and sturdy construction; perfect for everyday wear while breaking in beautifully over time.

Kontoor Brands, a spin-off from VF Corporation, owns Rustler as an outdoor workwear brand. Their other major workwear holdings include Dickies and Timberland shoes; two top outdoor merino wool brands – Smartwool and Icebreaker are also owned by them.

Since 1897, this manufacturer has been in business, upholding their commitment to authentic comfort and Western roots with each pair of jeans they produce. Their quality craftsmanship makes these an excellent option for cowboy or country style outfits alike.
