Auto provider Piston Group stated it should manufacture batteries for electrical automobiles for power storage expertise startup Our Next Energy Inc., or ONE.
Piston Group stated it plans to provide ONE’s Aries battery packs, which make the most of lithium iron phosphate chemistry to “enhance vary and cut back price whereas eliminating nickel and cobalt provide chain and security considerations.”
Piston Automotive, a subsidiary of Piston Group, will construct the batteries at a manufacturing facility in Van Buren Township, Mich., about 25 miles west of downtown Detroit. Manufacturing is anticipated to start late this 12 months.
