New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso stated his automobile flipped 3 times when it was struck by a driver who ran a purple gentle on Sunday.
Alonso, talking Monday from spring coaching in Port St. Lucie, Florida, stated he’s nice and can take part in a full exercise with the Mets on Tuesday.
“One [moment] I used to be coming right here to work, coming to spring coaching, and subsequent factor I do know I am kicking my windshield in making an attempt to get out of a flipped-over automotive,” Alonso instructed reporters. “Simply actually blessed to be right here. Grateful nothing is incorrect. Additionally thanks, Ford, for having nice engineering.”
The 27-year-old slugger is coming off a season by which he led the Mets in each main batting class: hits (147), residence runs (37), RBIs (94), batting common (.262) and on-base proportion (.344).
