Blu G90 Pro Review

The Blu G90 Pro is one of the most affordable phones on the market, yet it still packs impressive hardware. This is the one to get if you’re in the market for a gaming phone.

The G90 Pro has a 5100 mAh battery that lasts over two days on a single charge. That’s way more than you can expect from an $800 phone like the LG V60.

Camera

The G90 Pro sports a stunning design and isn’t too heavy. It comes in a single purple haze color (Jimi Hendrix fans rejoice) that complements the black background of the fingerprint scanner and camera sensors.

The phone has a 6.5-inch IPS display with 1080 x 2340 resolution, 234 ppi, and a 19:9 aspect ratio. It’s multitouch capable and has 4 GB of RAM along with 128 GB of storage and a microSD card.

It also has a 48 MP primary camera plus a depth sensor. Its 8MP wide-angle lens helps capture the world from a broader perspective, and its Macro camera can get close-up shots of small objects.

The camera is decent, mainly if you use the HDR mode to bring out the best in your pictures. It’s located in an overflow menu, and you can’t have it on at all times, but it’s a nice improvement to the G90 Pro’s stock photos.

Audio

The G90 Pro is one of Blu’s most ambitious phones to date. It’s aimed at gamers on a budget and features impressive hardware for the price.

The phone is an absolute powerhouse, with a 6.5-inch screen and quad camera setup. The only downside is a single speaker.

But that’s not a deal-breaker: the audio on the G90 Pro is perfect, and the camera is top-notch.

It’s also an excellent value, especially for gamers on a budget. BLU includes a lot of extra goodies in the box, like a protective rubber case, a cleaning cloth, a screen protector, a basic 3.5mm in-ear headset, and a USB-A to USB-C charging cable.

The only issue is that the software doesn’t seem up for regular updates, despite what BLU’s CEO promised two years ago. That’s a shame because Google has made Android much more accessible to update in recent years.

User Manual

The BLU G90 Pro user manual is a handy document to have on hand if you own this modern smartphone. It will guide you through some of the more complex aspects of the phone and give you a better understanding of the interface.

This is an excellent tool for avoiding any unnecessary trouble while using the phone. It will save you time and frustration, so read through it before using your device for the first time.

The Blu G90 Pro is a powerful and robust gaming smartphone that offers tremendous value for a relatively low price. It can hold its own against many similarly priced smartphones, and it’s one of the best gaming phones you can buy in the US.

Calling

The calling feature on the Blu G90 Pro is an excellent addition to the smartphone since it allows you to keep in touch with your loved ones when they are far away or if you have to meet up for a work meeting.

You can also make video calls with your contacts from your phonebook, open a chat with them, and in the upper right part, there is a video camera icon that you click to start the call.

BLU’s new G90 Pro is a compelling mid-range device in the $200-$250 price range that targets mobile gamers on a budget. It’s spec-heavy, featuring a 6.5″ screen, a 5-camera setup, and a massive 5100mAh battery.

While the hardware is impressive, the software behind it isn’t entirely up to par. The default launcher is a bit buggy and doesn’t always let you disable the “suggested apps” feature that surfaces your recently used apps on the top row of the app drawer.
